FDM is a fast & cost-effective way to produce plastic parts locally in Irvine & Orange County with extremely fast turnaround time (if you don’t mind a little layer line).

An STL file is needed for any kind of 3D printing. And FDM is no different.
If there are overhangs steeper than 45 degrees, sacrificial scaffold structures known as supports need to be added.
In this case, the 90 degree door overhang definitely needed supports.
FDM parts can fail for many reasons, the most common reasons being bad first layer adhesion, nozzle clog, and filament tangle.
But if there’s good adhesion to the build plate, parts can be batched out quickly & cost-effectively.
FDM is a great way to make replacement parts or prototype objects as long as the object isn’t small (and you don’t mind layer lines).
You can even paint & finish FDM 3D prints without priming with cheap craft paint to create cool looking display models!
